When I finally received who I am,
I stepped onto the road toward peace.
Who I am is not a role, a persona, or a face.
I am an unlimited energy being connected to everything
striving to emit greater and greater amounts of love.

All this anger is welling up.
I want to yell at passersby.
I want to spew my foul emotions across them
making it stick to their dull surfaces.
Making them
just like
me.

But this is not real
I want to let it go.
I want for Grace to rain down from above
and wash me clean like a Spring flower.

I am bright and light
and lovely.
I AM Grace.
I am the Spring that makes the world new.

I revel in my own delight,
letting my laughter float on the breeze
to all who will hear.

My quarry is my ego, my fear, my barriers to my true self.
The ground it goes are all the escape routes from being present in my day:
daydreaming, sugar, alcohol, self-pity, martyrdom.
I raze the paths of evasion.
I make my body my temple.
I dive into the onslaught of discomfort. Swim in it.
I breath in uncertainty and tame it with the peace that abides at my core.
I live the day as if it were given to me, not thrust upon me.
I walk as if the creator were guiding my footfalls, knowing in my heart that is truth.
